About this event

Join us for a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community, where we will discuss inner and outer beauty and health.

The night will include

  • Standup comedy and Event MC Miss Harmonica Sunbeam
  • Drag Makeup Demonstration by Jahlissa A Ross and discussion around toxic free beauty with Taylor Morton of WEACT
  • Standup comedy by Lindsay Boling
  • Staying health and lgbtqia+ health inequities, Dr. Scout of National LGBTQ Cancer Network

About the Performers:

Harmonica Sunbeam, The Comedy Queen has been delighting audiences at nightclubs, cabarets, fundraising events and supermarket openings throughout the United States and abroad for over 29 years. She is the North Jersey coordinator of Drag Queen Story Hour and since the inception of DQSH in the New York area, Miss Sunbeam has been featured in the NY Times and also interviewed for a now viral video on Buzzfeed.

Jahlove Serrano aka Jahlisa A Ross is proud Black gay man, health educator youth advocate HIV/AIDS activist androgynous model/runway coach /Drag Queen/background dancer/and choreographer to the stars. He's a Guatemalan/American native of Bronx New York. Contracted HIV a couple of days shy of his 16th birthday he decided to take a leadership role amongst his peers and community to be very public with his HIV status to combat the ignorance and stigma around HIV/AIDS. He's working in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention, outreach and research. He's working hard on a global, national, city and local level to address the needs of HIV positive and negative youth. Jahlove has worked with NYC AIDS institute, National Gay Mens Advocacy Coalition, The Global Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS North America (GNP+NA), AIDS ALLIANCES, The White House, and The Department of Health. He's currently on a Statewide campaign called "HIV stops with me”and Janssen Positively fearless Global campaign. Jahlove uses his entertainment platform to promote HIV/AIDS Awareness and education throughout the United States and beyond.

The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center’s (HICCC) Community Outreach and Engagement Office (COE) brings together a team of experienced researchers, clinicians and community health educators.
Working with community stakeholders and community members, HICCC cancer patients and their families, we are committed to reducing the burden of cancer. We strive to understand the needs of the  communities and patients served by the HICCC, and work to remove access barriers to cancer prevention, screening, treatment and survivorship services.
