Experience the dramatic history of Cleveland’s Karamu House, the country’s oldest African-American performing arts theater at this sneak preview screening event. For more than a century, the Karamu House has supported the evolution, preservation and celebration of African-American culture.

See the documentary that captures the theater's spirit, significance and historical importance. "Karamu: 100 Years in the House" is an ideastream production that will premiere on WVIZ/PBS on Friday, February 17 at 9pm. This screening is your chance to see the film before it airs.

A panel discussion and reception will follow the screening.

"Karamu: 100 Years in the House" is funded by KeyBank and the contributors to the ideastream Campaign for Community.

The post-screening reception is funded by KeyBank and the Minority Arts and Education Fund of the Cleveland Foundation.
