Hear what's coming for Small Business Week!

The U.S. Small Business Administration is proud to announce that National Small Business Week will be held June 17-21, 2013. National Small Business Week is a time to honor the 28 million small businesses that drive America’s economy. Small businesses create two out of every three new jobs – and half the people who work in the U.S. own or work for a small business.


Fred Baldassaro - Assistant Adminstrator, Small Business Administration

Fred Baldassaro has consistently demonstrated high levels of success in both the strategic and tactical areas of corporate and political communication for 16 years. He is the Assistant Administrator for Communications and Public Engagement at the U.S. Small Business Administration where he oversees a staff of 35 people, manages the agency's brand reputation and handles public affairs issues. Prior to SBA, Baldassaro has held a number of communications roles in the Obama Administration including Communications Director at OPIC and the Bowles-Simpson Commission.He was a senior advisor in the office of business affairs and public liaison at the U.S. Department of Treasury where he oversaw and developed the strategy to engage with the business community and various political and advocacy groups on behalf of Secretary Geithner and the Administration.
