After this training, participants will be able to:
1) Identify two words universally used most often to "bait" and initiate the cycle of provocation/ antagonization
2) Define two primary interventions that most reliably stimulate rational-thought in another
3) Recognize two most recurring communicational missteps on the part of the speaker
4) Implement two default words that re-establish balance in the professional relationship
5) Analyze three communicational elements that must be in place in order for a sender's message to be received as intended
SPEAKER: Since 1993, Ian Brennan has successfully trained over one-hundred thousand people across the country in violence prevention, anger-management, and conflict resolution at shelters, schools, hospitals, clinics, jails, and drug-treatment programs. His trainings are based on over 15 years of experience working as a mental health specialist in locked, acute-psychiatric settings. Additionally, he provides one-on-one, anger-management sessions for individuals facing criminal charges due to violent conduct, and also provides expert testimony in cases.
