About “Pretty In Pink 80’s” - Dads University Father Daughter Dance
Pretty In Pink 80’s is free of charge to all SAUSD fathers and daughters wishing to attend. Our message for fathers that evening is "not to teach their daughter how to be a lady", but rather......"teaching their daughter how a lady should be treated".
The environment for the evening is suited for K-12 daughters and their fathers. The event includes whole group dance activities, bonding time, and personalized activities where dads commit themselves to their daughter’s future success and healthy lifestyle. This is a “dancing under the stars” event, so we highly encourage coats for the evening. We encourage males guardians to attend if the father is not present.

Acknowledgement of Understanding:

I acknowledge that I am signing the agreement freely and voluntarily, and intend by my signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
What if I'm a single mother or my daughter's father is not present?
We encourage male guardians, such as grandfathers, uncles, godfathers, or siblings of 18 years or older to accompany them.
Are moms allowed to attend the event?
Sorry! This event is exclusively for fathers. It gives them an opportunity to have a father-daughter date, which is very important and seldomly practiced. We value famiy events, which is why Dads University makes an effort to sponsor activities fit for the entire family.
