Is your vegetable garden full of produce you need to preserve? Interested in pressure canning to preserve meats?

About this event

We'll cover the basics of using a pressure canner (and yes, we'll talk about the reasons they will not blow up on you!), food safety and canner safety to prevent illness and injury, as well as the science behind why a pressure canner is critical to can certain food items. Participants will get hands-on experience using a pressure canner. We'll be sure to use both a weighted gauge and a dial gauge pressure canner to help you decide which style of canner you prefer!
