Texas A&M University-San Antonio, Bexar County and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT) cordially invite you to the grand opening of the Presidio Gallery at the Bexar County Archives Building. After formal remarks, the Gallery will be open to the public for self-guided tours with A&M-SA Archives & Special Collections staff and DRT members available to answer questions. Refreshments will be served. Free and open to the public.

A&M-SA is proud to showcase the Daughters of the Republic of Texas Library Collection as the inaugural exhibit in the new Presidio Gallery, featuring Alamo and Texas manuscripts and artifacts. The A&M-SA Archives & Special Collections includes:

  • Approximately 1,600 linear feet of archival collections

  • 40,000 photographs

  • 1,000 pieces of art

  • 1,000 maps

  • 10,000 clippings files

  • 27,000 books and numerous historical newspapers and periodicals

The South Flores Parking Garage located at 211 S Flores St, San Antonio, TX 78204 provides covered parking with a short walk to the Bexar County Archives Building. Metered parking may also be available nearby.
