Event Details

Andrea and Dietrich of Edible Alchemy teach Preserving the Harvest as special guests of the Rebuilding Exchange! If you've ever been interested in learning the basics of home food preservation, this is your chance.  Come sample your way through this hands on demo of canning, dehydrating, fermenting, freezing, and pickling. In this class we'll go over each style briefly, giving an overview of technique, science, and method. An intro class for anyone wanting to learn skills to eat seasonal food over the winter, use more that you've grown in your garden, make food with ingredients you know & trust, and for that zombie apocalypse coming up later this year.
