Preservation Icons of Sonoma, Tour & Wine Tasting
The Preservation Icons of Sonoma Tour & Wine Tasting is on Saturday, January 28, 2017! This charitable event, benefitting the Sonoma League for Historic Preservation, includes three unique tour itineraries for intimate groups to get first-hand access to these treasures. The day starts at 10:00am at one of the three properties: Buena Vista Winery, Pangloss Cellars, and Three Sticks. Each group will experience a 90-minute one-of-a-kind tour and tasting with a focus on architectural restoration and preservation before transitioning to the next winery property. You have the opportunity to select which progression of wineries suits you best. (See below for the day's full itinerary.) The groups will join together for lunch at another historic Sonoma location, The Depot Hotel. The day will end with an optional reception of coffee & cookies at the Sonoma League’s Heritage Center: The Henri Maysonnave House at 5:30pm.
This tour offers a unique opportunity for preservation and wine enthusiasts to experience each property accompanied by in-depth discussions on the history of each building, the extensive preservation efforts exercised to restore them, and premier wine tastings offered at each destination.
Transportation will be provided to/from Buena Vista. All other historic properties are within walking distance of each other around the Sonoma Plaza. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring an umbrella in case of rain.
The Sonoma League for Historic Preservation is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit organization ID #23-7358957. Their mission is to protect and preserve Sonoma’s unique historic places and the stories they tell for future generations. Of the $225 ticket price, $177 is a tax deductible donation. All donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
