Event description

Description

As part of the 2018 Presenting Denver Dance Festival, we invite you to take part in our Master Class Preview Performance Series with the main stage artists. View our website at http://presentingdenver.org/master-class-and-preview-performance-series/ to learn about all the master classes offered.

Gregory Gonzales will be teaching a Floor Barre class for all levels of dancers. No previous dance experience required.

Class Description: Floor Barre is a fun and interesting class that can help you turbocharge your dance training. The class utilizes the floor to pinpoint and reveal weaknesses a dancer may have and then with specialized exercises and movements help overcome those issues. Floor Barre relies on a thorough understanding of Anatomy and Kinesiology to get the concepts across to students. The class is ballet based but a student of any dance style and method can benefit from this class. Regular dance clothing is recommended but yoga, pilates and gym clothing works, too. Please feel free to bring a yoga mat and comfortable socks. Floor Barre is great for any dancer who is recovering from an injury, depending on the type of injury.
