About this event
Our presentation science approach is based on the important insight that audience members are learners. For you to be successful as a presenter, you need to engage your audience, help them learn to fully comprehend the content, support them to remember what you’ve covered, and enable them to act on what they’ve learned.
Most presenters make fundamental mistakes in how they design their slide interactions. In this online workshop, you’ll learn how to avoid the most common mistakes in presenting and how to create maximally effective presentations, whether you’re presenting face to face or online. You’ll also have a chance to test your understanding by redesigning one of your own set of slides (or an example set if you prefer).
This workshop is open to all and provides benefits to executives, managers, project leads, salespeople, trainers, teachers, and conference speakers.
Workshop Agenda:
Prior to the first live session, participants will have an opportunity to join in online reflection and discussions with fellow participants. On December 5, from 11AM–12:30PM ET, Live Session #1 will feature the surprising fundamentals of presentation design. The following day, participants will be provided with self-guided online activities to further their learning. On December 7, from 11AM–12:30PM, Live Session #2 will include a discussion on maintaining connection, charisma, and credibility while presenting online. Participants will complete a short online assignment before Live Session #3 on December 9, from 11AM–12:30PM, during which participants will receive feedback, reflections, and insight.
