Event description

Description

Join us for a 2-part workshop about the process of attaining tenure.

Part I – CSU administrators who are most frequently involved in important tenure decisions will answer questions about and discuss the tenure process.

Led By: Kevin Demmitt, Louis Jourdan

Part II – Deepens the conversation about the process of putting together materials for tenure. Tenured faculty members from each college will share their approaches and suggestions and answer your burning questions. Please bring specific questions about your tenure portfolio (and your documents if you wish), as much of this intimate part of the session will be dedicated to answering specific questions and providing advice.

Led by: Mari Banks

While faculty moving from associate to full may benefit from attending, this session will be most useful for untenured faculty.

Objectives: Workshop participants will . . .

  • learn more about attaining tenure at CSU.
  • examine general and content-specific challenges to attaining tenure.
  • have an opportunity to discuss and pose questions regarding the tenure process and their own tenure process.
