Preparing your Northeastern Faculty Teaching Statement
Overview
In this workshop you will consider the purpose teaching statements play in promotion dossiers, key elements, and identify ideas for authoring or revising your teaching statement. You will examine Northeastern teaching statement guidelines in relation to these larger aims. Effective teaching statements help readers understand your convictions as an educator while also pointing to specific examples of your work that demonstrate the unique value you bring to Northeastern. They help focus reader attention on the items that matter most in dossier appendices, making the many pages of a dossier easier for the reader to parse.
This session is only open to Northeastern University students, staff and educators. Please use your Northeastern email when registering.
