STRATEGIES FOR SELF-SUPPORT OVER CHRISTMAS

Stand Alone's support group facilitator Krysia Ochyra has created an innovative therapeutic workshop on the antisipation of the festive period and the feelings it may bring up around family and estrangement.

We are hosting this workshop in October as we appreciate that the start of the Christmas period brings many challenges to our sense of self and feelings of worthiness. Many people are already dreading it!

The workshop will feature activities, small group work and a chance to meet and share with others who are experiencing family estrangement. We aim for you complete the workshop with the skills to cope with moments of low self-esteem, fear and doubt over the winter months and beyond.

This group is open to all adults who are estranged from their family, and participants should be aware that they will be in a mixed group with people who are estranged from siblings, parents, and children/grandchildren. The activity based focus means groups of this kind have been very successful in the past, as the focus is not on a deep exploration of others stories.

Sheffield: Sunday 19th November 2017

11pm-1.15pm

FULL ADDRESS DETAILS WILL BE FORWARDED VIA EVENTBRITE ONE WEEK BEFORE THE WORKSHOP
