Event description
U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security will hold a Congressional hearing on the importance of securing U.S. elections.

About this Event

Chairman Bennie Thompson (MS-2) and Vice Chair Lauren Underwood (IL-14) will host a field hearing in the 14th District of Illinois to discuss what's been done to protect our democracy from foreign interference in the 2020 election and beyond and empower constituents to critically assess political advertising on social media and other information on elections, and how to report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.

This field hearing will allow members of the Homeland Security Committee and other members of Congress to examine and discuss what steps the state of Illinois and the federal government are taking to enhance both physical and cyber election infrastructure.

Witnesses will include federal, state, and local election officials and experts.

By registering for this event you will automatically be added to Congresswoman Underwood's E-newsletter.
