Description

Presented by Judy Willis, M.D., M.Ed.

Globalization and technology continue to change the knowledge and skills needed by today’s children who will, as adults, lead us in the coming decades. The great news from neuroscience is that the brain circuits they need, now and for the future, are at their most responsive state during the school years.

You’ll learn about ways you can provide opportunities for children and teens to make thoughtful decisions, use judgment, and analyze information validity as well as how to create an environment for them to safely make mistakes and learn from them.

Dr. Judy Willis combined her 15 years as a board-certified practicing neurologist with ten subsequent years as a classroom teacher to become a leading authority in the neuroscience of learning. Dr. Willis has written seven books and more than 100 articles applying neuroscience research to successful teaching strategies. Dr. Willis travels nationally and internationally giving presentations, workshops, and consulting
