Course Syllabus

Have you received calls from clients or attorneys asking if you do immigration psychological evaluations, but don’t know where to start? This course will walk you through the immigration process and will prepare you for doing a comprehensive psychological evaluation.

Educational Goals: To prepare licensed therapists to do comprehensive immigration psychological evaluations for a variety of client needs, to consider legal and ethical issues, to create a standard for the field, and address practical problems that may arise during an evaluation and report. It is also a good refresher for those who have already been doing evaluations and are looking to create a standard for the profession or think through some of their current systems.

Registration

Please register for the class when you join the meeting. This is our way of verifying that you attended the course for your CEUs. Cris will be ready to greet you from the waiting room. She will manage your microphone throughout the day during times of participation. Your stories are important, so we hope you will share openly.

After the course is over, you have to complete the evaluation and test. Once you successfully pass the test, we will print your certificate for you.

We thank you in advance for your patience and your feedback for making the best experience. Please complete the evaluation at the end of the course. This is valuable information for making your experience better in the future. My goal as a member of the Network of Immigration Evaluation Clinicians is to bring a standard to the profession for psychological evaluations. This way, clients and attorneys know what to expect and therapists have a reliable structure to follow for any evaluation.
