Event description

Description

The High Holidays start with an indictment on Rosh HaShana, move to atonement on Yom Kippur, and end with thanksgiving on Succot. What makes this transformation deep and meaningful is Teshuva, the process of returning to the source and intent of our creation. Teshuva means the fixing of past wrongs, the reversal of bad character traits, and the commitment to live genuine lives, closer and closer to the truth of our existence.

This six week course will review the prayer services of Rosh HaShana (Rosh HaShana Eve, Rosh HaShana Day(s), and Yom Kippur (Yom Kippur Eve/Kol Nidrei, Yom Kippur Day/U’netaneh Tokef, Yom Kippur Mussaf and Yom Kippur Closing Service/Neila).

May this review be an invitation to dive into the challenges and promises of Teshuva.
