Yoga is one more way you can give your baby the best start.
According to the Mayo Clinic, prental yoga helps to: Improve sleep. Reduce stress and anxiety. Increase the strength, flexibility and endurance of muscles needed for childbirth. Decrease lower back pain, nausea, carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms, headaches and shortness of breath.
Along with the physical tools that women learn in prenatal yoga, they also benefit from the social aspects of being in a positive and upbeat group setting with other expecting or new moms.
With the Tranquil Seasons Prenatal Plus class, you can attend while pregnant and then come back to class again once you've recovered from childbirth! Please bring your infants so they can also enjoy the physical and emotional benefits of yoga class with you. :)
This class series runs every Wednesday, (skipping Thanksgiving week) and you only pay $10 for each time you drop in. This event listing is for a punch card for 5 drop ins. Starting in January, the punch card price will go up.
Please bring your own yoga mat and exercise ball, if you prefer. Otherwise, we have some to use, as needed.
Shoes off at the door, and don't forget to bring a small towel and your favorite water bottle.
