Event description

Description

This political season has been tough on our families. We're left wondering how to discuss an election season filled with strong language on both sides, and lacking in kindness on many fronts. Some of our clients and friends have had to talk to their children about something troubling that they heard from a classmate. Others are dealing with stress during pregnancy due to what's portrayed in the media and online. And being that so many jobs are tied to the government, this transition brings uncertainty.

Let's talk about it. How are you coping? What are you telling your little ones? How can we find a way to uphold our values as a community?

Please join us on December 8th at 7pm, at Calabash Teahouse and Cafe to share your experiences and talk about a way forward, especially for our youngest citizens.

Come hungry and thirsty, and ready to share! Community and support are often the answer to our troubles.

*This event is open to all, regardless of political views, gender, race, sexuality or faith. The only qualification is that you care about families and children, and will respect the humanity of all participants.
