Description

The PBI Fall Summit is an intense training event designed especially for PBI grantees. Our research team works tirelessly to identify topics that will affect you. We recruit only the best & brightest local and national expert faculty. Conference attendees will be exposed to "best practices" used by leading educational professionals.

The summit consists of:

- 1 Day PBI intense training event where projects will gain insight and updates on the latest information from the U.S. Department of Education and Best Practices in student services, data assessment, and project development. Tentative workshop topics include Budgeting 101, Preparing for a Dept. of ED site visit, Pell Grant Updates, AA Males and STEM, PBI Network Development, Update from the Dept. of ED.

- 2 1/2 Day Technology in Education Summit where projects will gain hands-on experience in learning how to use the latest in educational technology to better serve project participants.

Workshops Topics Will Include:

Tech ED-TOGETHER

Designed specifically for the classroom teacher that is getting started in a 1:1 environment or is in the early stages of thoughtful technology integration and implementation. The sessions in the Tech ED-TOGETHER strand will focus specifically on best practices, apps, extensions, tools, and resources to build proficiency in communication, social media, and project management. Devices and platforms include iPads, Chromebooks, GSuite and more!

Tech ED-LEARNING

Designed for the technology educator that is looking for unique approaches, apps, hardware, and software for technology integration in the classroom. Sessions in this strand may emphasize approaches such as fostering creativity with Tech ED, enhancing student online learning, publishing & collaboration. The Tech ED-LEARNING strand is also built to provide educators with a glimpse of the future of Tech ED that will include ideas such as Makers Space, Online Learning Creations, Virtual Reality, Coding, Wearable Tech & Gamification.

Tech ED-CREATION

Designed for educational leaders, administrators, and educators that want to explore audio and video innovation in education. The strand is on the creation and editing of educational audio, picture and video files for distribution. Experience and learn on the leading platforms to create stunning audio-visual projects for students or stakeholders.
