An investigation and interpretation of the phenomena Chris has termed "Predictive Poetry" originating in the text messages sent on our mobile phones. The seemingly accidental mistakes within our texts create a strange convergence as if there is somehow a third person involved. The wrong words despite being ridiculous or horrific somehow make sense. As if out of the mouth of babes the predictive system suggests words that we would love to say but dare not.
The first part of the workshops will involve experimenting with the technology of predictive text. Phrases or sentences will then be selected to be reproduced in clay for the exhibition at Northam Rd. Bring old clothes and a packed lunch. Some free parking available in the old Cattle Market.
