Description
Grab your hats and bow ties, it's time for the third annual Preakness at the Piazza!
About the Preakness at the Piazza
The Preakness at the Piazza is a unique, fun, fashion event on Saturday, May 16 at The Piazza in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia. The event raises money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Delaware Valley Chapter. The Preakness at the Piazza features the 140th Running of the Preakness Stakes on the Piazza's jumbotron, all you can eat and drink, friendly horse betting, and a DJ to party the night away. It is a 21+ event.
Attire
Ladies in hats and guys in bow ties! Think Kentucky Derby style. View photos from last year's event here. Don't have Derby attire? No problem. Hats and bow ties are not mandatory, but dress to impress.
Where does my money go?
Your donation enables the National MS Society to help individuals and families affected by MS overcome the daily challenges of this unpredictable and lifelong disease. You are helping people with MS live independently, gain access to information, navigate community resources, build bonds with others affected by MS, and find financial resources during times of need.
About the MS Society
The Greater Delaware Valley Chapter of the National MS Society serves 15,500 local people living with MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50. MS is a chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system with no known cause or cure. There is a wide range of symptoms, including tingling, numbness, tremors, loss of vision, cognitive issues and more. The National MS Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. For more information visit nationalMSsociety.org/pae.
