About this event

Nazarene Theological Seminary and the Evangelical Immigration Table are proud to present a pre-conference to this year's Preacher's Conference examining a biblical understanding of God's dangerous heart for the immigrant. Featuring special guest Matthew Soerens - director of Church Mobilization for World Relief and co-author of three books on engaging the church in the lives of immigrants - and a panel of leading immigration specialists in the Church of The Nazarene, join us on September 26th as we examine the "why" of preaching a dangerous sermon. Why would we look at any of the people groups mentioned in scripture – orphans, widows, immigrants – and choose to preach dangerous sermons about them? What is God’s heart for the immigrant as seen in Scripture? And why are pastors especially called to the holy burden of preaching dangerous sermons?
