Pre-IGF Stakeholder Speed Dating
Event Information
Description
The Internet Society, together with the United Nations University GREMLIN project, invite you to join us for an evening of networking in Brussels before this year’s Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in Paris on 12-14 November.
Come meet others as you 'speed date' people from different communities and find out “what they are looking for in a relationship… with the UN IGF!” There is no day zero at the IGF this year so we are focused on starting the conversation in Brussels!
Our speakers include:
Julie Ward, Member of the European Parliament
Valentina Scialpi, Internet Governance, DG Connect, European Commission
Marie-Noemie Marques, International Regulatory Affairs, Orange
Maryant Fernandez, Senior Policy Advisor, European Digital Rights (EDRI)
The discussion is moderated by the Internet Society.
We also invite you to consider some of these questions to discuss at the event:
-
What does Internet governance mean to you? Why do you participate in the global Internet Governance Forum?
-
What is your number one topic in the current Internet governance debate?
-
What is the biggest threat to the Internet?
Drinks and canapes will be provided.
