Description

In recognition of October being National Disability Employment Awareness Month, we are celebrating by offering two free events in order to advance the conversation on equal opportunities and inclusive environments for people with disabilities.

Pre-Expo Resume Readiness:

This year we are offering a Pre-Expo Resume Readiness event where you can learn how to create and develop your resume, how to effectively job search, and practice your interviewing skills with professionals from the DC Department of Employment Services and the DC Office of Human Resources. In this half day training you will also learn about the services that the DC Public Library offers including assistive technology and locations of where you can access and use computers for free.

Bring any resumes and coverletters you have been working on.

When: Thursday, October 18th from noon to 5:00 p.m.

Location: DC Office of Human Resources, 1015 Half Street SE, 9th Floor. Training Rooms 9015-9017

Transportation: The closest Metro is Navy Yard Ball Park Station (Green Line)

Accessibility: The building and training rooms are wheelchair accessible. Please refrain from wearing perfumes or colognes. There are multiple elevators that will take you to the ninth floor.
