Prairie Dog Fence Building Project
Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Come join biologists as we protect prairie dogs and the species they support! A large fence must be built near Rabbit Mountain to contain prairie dog migration to one area, protecting the neighboring grassland restoration area. This passive form of prairie dog control is one important part of an integrated approach to manage prairie dogs in Boulder County. Work will involve carrying, bending, and hammering.
The minimum age is 12 with adult supervision. This project runs from 8:00am-12:00pm. For more information please contact Erica at 303-678-6329 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Please note that every volunteer under the age of 18 needs a waiver signed by a parent or guardian, and needs to be accompanied to the volunteer event by an adult. Please let us know ASAP if you need the waiver in advance.
