The Georgia Department of Transportation is creating the Georgia Pedestrian Safety Action Plan which will serve as an implementation plan to improve pedestrian safety across the state.
Earlier this fall a survey gathered thoughts and ideas about walking safety from people across Georgia. The next step is to determine the on-the-ground needs of practitioners who work to improve pedestrian safety in our communities.
This is where you come in.
Building safe, walkable communities presents many challenges. To ensure that the statewide plan is useful for you, we need to know more about the challenges you face and the resources that would best help you.
Join us to discuss :
1. Data on pedestrian crashes and fatalities from 2010-2015
2. Outcomes of the statewide pedestrian safety survey
3. Implementation challenges your community faces to developing safe places to walk
