A Comprehensive Training for Improving Relationships and Results

About this Event

Practicing Effective Management provides managers with relevant guidelines and meaningful tools for workplace success. Participants will come to understand the nuances of management vs. leadership, identify appropriate ways to support their staff through structured supervision, learn how to exercise effective time management, and effectively respond to the demands of a competitive work environment. Special guidance on managing remote teams will also be provided.

Through course materials and active teaching methods, participants are equipped with the information and tools needed to develop and maintain successful, strengths-based professional relationships with their peers and staff, while maintaining appropriate work-life alignment. Key aspects of this training are relevant to all levels and types of management, including new managers, practice managers, and experienced professionals.

NOTE: 14 hours of training are provided virtually over four half-day sessions. 14 hours of social work CEUs available.

He has presented at several national conferences and has been a panelist for discussions on quality healthcare. He passionately carries the torch of effective management, continually exploring the question: "How can managers be most helpful?"

Sarah Bowman, LMSW, has infused the private and public behavioral health systems with positive energy and a commitment to excellence for more than 18 years. Her strong and thoughtful leadership, utilization of data-driven decision making, and focus on positive outcomes measurement have helped her build and transform numerous behavioral health programs and services. She is a dynamic presenter and trainer.
