Practice Moves Lab: Workshop with Evvie Allison

In this workshop, participants will learn vocabulary from Practice Moves, the distinct movement lexicon underpinning Evvie Allison's choreography since 2015. Each class will begin with a brief alignment-focused warm-up; following that, participants will learn and practice a selection of steps, focusing on energetic clarity, anatomical precision, and the light but effortful isometric resistance characteristic of Allison's work. Each class will culminate in a short phrase that incorporates the vocabulary. Participants are encouraged to come to multiple workshops to experience the progression of this movement practice over time, but attendance at the first or second workshop is not required to attend the third!
