Practice Can Be Easier - Neuroscience Techniques for Meditation

A course with Kim Weeber

4 Thursdays, October 25 - November 15, 2018; 10:00am - 12:00pm

Suggested contribution: $32-80 registration + teacher donation

Are you struggling with your practice? Have you ever wondered if practice could be more enjoyable? The neuroscientists who also meditate have found some simple answers to these questions, which the Buddha also talked about in his meditation instructions, but with less detail than we have today. Come and see what you can do! Participants can be new or experienced meditators, but need to commit to a daily practice during this time.

Kim Weeber - started practicing meditation in 1987 in the yoga tradition, and studied Zen in Denver with Danan Henry, Roshi, for 8 years. She started practicing Vipassana in 1997 with Bhante Gunaratana. She received instruction on teaching the Dharma from Jacqueline Mandell, one of the early American Vipassana teachers, and ran a weekly meditation class for prisoners for 2 years. Kim completed the Community Dharma Leader training program at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in California. She continues her training with Arinna Weisman and Culadasa Yates, and teaches classes and retreats at Insight PV and in the New England area.

*Our teachers give freely of their time, wisdom, and experience and depend upon contributions from students for their livelihood. We recommend an equal or greater donation to the teacher than for registration.
