Event description
A set of three trainings that allow us to dive deep into reclaiming our power as social creators.

About this event

To do our good work better, we need skills, practice, and community—that's what these trainings offer.

Choose the training that most appeals to you, or dive deep with all 3 trainings (our recommendation, which is why we discount it!).

Unconscious Bias Training

Saturday, October 16, 2021

2-5pm PST, 5-8pm EST

Understand what unconscious bias is, why we need it, and how to dismantle it when it becomes unhelpful.

Becoming a Brilliant Bystander

Saturday, October 23, 2021

2-5pm PST, 5-8pm EST

Learn how to intervene when we notice injustice in our everyday lives (and understand why it's so hard to do!)

Conflict Resolution: Reframe to Resolve

Saturday, October 30, 2021

2-5pm PST, 5-8pm EST

Reframing is our subtle social justice super power, we just need to know how to use it.

Kimberly Dark consulted in conflict resolution and facilitation for over 20 years. She is an award-winning writer and storyteller who wants you to reclaim your power as a social creator to make the world a better place. Her ability to make the personal political is grounded in her training as a sociologist, who teaches in Sociology at Cal State Marcos and Writing/Arts at Cal State Summer Arts.

Tuition is $79 for one workshop and $200 for all three. Registrants will be provided a Zoom link, and access to our exclusive Facebook Group to continue our good work together. Recordings will be available for one month after the training.

These trainings are for:

  • Educators, parents & others who work with young people
  • Problem-solvers, meeting facilitators & mediators
  • Community members who want to understand & better handle conflict in everyday settings
  • Managers, business leaders & HR professionals
  • Human services staff & case workers
  • Student leaders on campuses
