PR For Ed Tech Startups

You are starting to think about how to build buzz for your product or perhaps you already have a product on the market but need help spreading the word. Come learn from Maureen MacGregor, a seasoned PR pro, and Boundless, a Boston-based ed tech startup, which does its own PR in-house. Learn the pros and cons of each way of building buzz and how you can spread the word effectively on a tight budget.
This class will be highly interactive and limited to 20 students to ensure that you have ample time to interact with the instructors and your peers.
*Service providers are welcome to attend, but we have a strict no selling policy during classes.*

Meet the Instructors
VP, Marketing, Boundless
Healy is an entrepreneur and marketer who believes in the power of the internet and mobile devices to improve student lives. At Boundless, Healy leads user acquisition efforts and an on-campus marketing program. Prior to joining Boundless, Healy was the VP of Marketing for OfficeDrop, and online storage platform for small businesses. Healy has also been a venture capitalist and investor with several venture capital and private equity funds, including Atlas Venture in Boston and Summit Partners in Palo Alto. Healy holds an A.B. from Dartmouth College and has an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

A communications strategist and PR/branding specialist focusing on start-ups, Maureen has launched and helped establish the early stage leadership of some of the most innovative, prestigious and successful B2B and B2C tech-based brands. Her practice, Pelorus Communications, helps clients emerge, evolve and share their larger change-potential story, achieving coverage and cross-channel impact that reverberates across their market. Prior to forming Pelorus as an agile virtual agency, she took three networking infrastructure and software start-ups from earliest stages to successful IPOs and acquisitions as a Marketing Director and PR lead.
