Description of the training: This 4-day course provides a comprehensive review of the policies and procedures governing the PPP. This will include the policy and procedures for matching and filling positions, registration of employees, the function of the Automated Stopper and Referral System (ASARS), PPP for overseas activities, report action codes of referral resumes, and option codes for registration and requisitioning.

Expectations and Prerequisites for Target Audience: While there are no prerequisites for taking this course, please note that this course is designed for human resources (HR) specialists and assistants who are responsible for administering the PPP at their respective DoD activities. The training is targeted to individuals with a basic working knowledge of DoD human resources regulations, policies and procedures. If you do not have a background in staffing, you may find much of the course difficult to understand. Experienced HR Specialists should take PPP training every 3 years as a refresher.
