Event description

Description

#GivingTuesday 2019 is on December 3, 2019. This annual “Global Day of Giving” event takes place on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving and has helped to amplify year-end fundraising efforts for nonprofits and charitable causes since 2012. Since conception, the total amount raised for GivingTuesday, is over $1 billion online in the U.S. In fact, in 2018, the total number of donations reported is approaching 4 million (a 45% jump over 2017), marking the most successful giving year. The mean gift size was $105.

Okay, I know what you’re thinking: it’s way too early to start planning! But that’s not the case. The reality is September is the perfect time to determine your goals, campaign messaging and to map out your timeline.

If you want to raise more money and connect with more supporters this Giving Tuesday, attend this strategy and implementation workshop to learn step-by-step instructions on how your nonprofit or cause can get in on all the energy, excitement, and benefits of the big day! You’ll leave this session with an understanding of the following:

1) Develop your #GivingTuesday strategy and campaign goals

2) Review suggested 3-6 Month Planning Timeline

3) Create a base Social Media Toolkit and Hashtag Strategy

4) Review sample email templates

5) Bonus #GivingTuesdayTips

Format: 1 – Hands-on, Face to Face session, 2 hours (90 minutes, 30 minutes Q&A); Participants should bring their laptop. Participants will receive a Strategy and Goals template in advance to be completed prior to the workshop.

Target Audience:

This workshop is most appropriate for all who wear a Communications/Marketing/Social media and Business Development hat at a non-profit organization.

**PLEASE NOTE: If this event has a wait list, Foundation for MetroWest will prioritize giving tickets to nonprofit board members, staff, and/or volunteers of MetroWest serving nonprofit organizations.
