Event description
Training for TCCS sites

About this event

Reflect not only on the children’s actions, but on your own, to learn techniques to help eliminate less desirable behaviors. A child’s experience is greatly influenced by his or her activity level, mood, temperament, persistence, distractibility, and adaptability… but so is the teacher’s! Both work reciprocally! Discover just who has the power to turn things around in a classroom. Nine times out of ten, you might find that power is closer than you think!

**This training will be delivered virtually via Zoom**

This training is APPROVED for 2 hours of training by the Center for Early Learning Professionals.

All teachers can benefit from this training, but it’s geared towards Toddler, Preschool, & School Age with a focus on children with special needs.

Each employee planning to attend the training should reserve a seat. If you are unable to attend after reserving a seat, please cancel your ticket or notify us at Seats are limited, please plan accordingly.

For TCCS sites, while ALL staff are invited to attend, it is required that Therapeutic Integration Specialists (TIS) attend trainings. TIS staff are responsible for attending these trainings in order to learn crucial techniques and strategies and to complete daily tasks in an efficient manner. If you are not able to attend, please email Program Director Lisa Furtado at

The Therapeutic Child Care Services (TCCS) program provides the foundation for children to learn, socialize, and play alongside their typically developing peers. Through an inclusive integrated environment, TCCS offers services by trained professionals that meet the needs of all children.  We offer programs in licensed child care centers, school age programs, and summer camps throughout Rhode Island.

The TCCS program provides strategies and techniques for specially trained staff in order to help children with special needs.

TCCS is a Kids Connect program that is regulated by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services.
