Description

This training will be delivered by Dr. Carlene Firmin MBE who has led the Contextual Safeguarding and peer-on-peer abuse research programmes at the University of Bedfordshire and Ben Lindsay, Founder and CEO of Power The Fight.

This training will: Enable you to promote effective safeguarding in your local context.

After this training you will be able to:

  • Analyse the contexts within which youth violence takes place

  • Understand your role in making these spaces safer for young people

  • Utilise strategies to effectively safeguard young people within your context

  • Examine the emerging research and practise of contextual safeguarding

This building knowledge workshop is for organisations, professionals and youth group leaders wanting to explore how Contextual Safeguarding can inform your practise.

Teas and coffee's will be avaialble.
