Apples and Snakes presents
LANGUAGE AS POETIC ARCHIVE with MAHOGANY L. BROWN & JIVE POETIC
Facilitated by international artists, Mahogany L. Browne and Jive Poetic, this generative writing workshop is designed to investigate how our memories inform our poetry.
Consisting of five components: analysation, discussion, writing, editing, and performance, this journey will bloom new writing in an effort to create an urgent dialogue with our limbs as language.

Mahogany L. Browne is an award-winning performance poet originating from Oakland, California. She has published several collections of poetry, most recently Smudge (Button Poetry, 2016) and has released a number of LPs.
Jive Poetic is co-founder of Jam On It Poetry and The Soundbites Poetry Festival. When Jive Poetic is not on tour he leads poetry and hip-hop workshops in the New York City Public School system and in various community centres throughout the tri-state area.
