You know the old adage “laughter is the best medicine”? It certainly can make you feel good. It relieves stress. It’s fun and contagious. It creates memories with loved ones and can spark new friendships in an instant.
Laughter not only makes you feel good, it’s good for you. Research suggests that laughter can decrease stress hormones, artery inflammation, and boost HDL (the “good” cholesterol). In addition, the effects of laughter can last up to 24 hours.
Keeping these facts in mind, we invite you to attend Power of Laughter, a health and wellness comedy workshop. The afternoon will showcase comedy from Cletus Kassady, star of the national radio program The Cletus Kassady Show featuring the Laugh Therapist. Guests will hear a talk on high blood pressure from Dr. Anthony Fletcher and will receive an introduction to the American Heart Association’s Check. Change. Control. program. A heart-healthy lunch will be provided, and guests will enjoy music by Charles King. In addition to our program, guests will be eligible for some great door prizes including a television and a Fitbit!
Register today for a seat. The day will be fun and will empower guests to take positive steps to better heart health – you don’t want to miss it!
