Anger is inevitable in dealing with difficult problems, clients, and counsel. For attorneys, anger management issues can come from the competitive nature of the legal field, fatigue, or working with difficult or combative personalities. Adequate skills for managing anger are essential in avoiding health complications, reduced productivity at work, and poor interpersonal relationships. In this hour, participants will learn some anger management strategies and learn about developing an anger management plan to reduce the destructive effects of anger on health and job performance.

Presenter:

Jeanne Cummings, Ph.D.- Dr. Cummings obtained her degree from UNC-Greensboro and has taught at Auburn University, Guilford College, Warren Wilson College and UNCA.  As a child psychologist at Appalachian Hall and in private practice in Asheville, she treated and evaluated children and families with a variety of problems and has decades of experience testifying in court.
