Event description

Tech in the Midwest is officially taking off!

Fueled by an affordable cost of living and all-around positive Midwest vibes, tech companies across the Heartland are finding their stride and making BIG moves on the national stage. We've got a firepower lineup of entrepreneurs from tech hubs in Cincinnati, Kansas City and Indianapolis, and they'll be bringing the heat as we dive into the pitches!

Don't miss your chance to hear from these fast-growing companies from across the Midwest.

It’s going down on April 25th, starting at 5:30pm at the HI-FI in Indianapolis. Get all the details:

If you’ve never experienced a Powderkeg pitch, now’s your opportunity to catch 3 of the most exciting companies in the Midwest. Each startup will have just 5 minutes on stage to pitch their startup—no exceptions. It's sort of like the hit TV show Shark Tank, but without the ego and showbiz.

More on our speakers and advisors below. First, we want to give a HUGE thanks to our partners for making this event happen!

The founders will have 5 minutes of Q&A from our panel of investors and entrepreneurs after each pitch, when you'll get to learn exactly how investors think and how the founders respond on the fly. Our "sharks" bring diverse backgrounds and perspectives, which is sure to make for interesting questions and discussion...

We are excited to announce Powderkeg’s partnership with Cintrifuse, a Cincinnati-based startup catalyst! The alliance will harness the power of two up-and-coming tech ecosystems, connecting startups and expansion-stage companies to the talent and capital necessary to compete with larger, coastal tech ecosystems.

“We have all the ingredients needed to build a successful tech company right here in Greater Cincinnati,” said Wendy Lea, CEO at Cintrifuse. “Connecting to the Powderkeg network builds a bridge between our thriving tech community and their national network, allowing us to amplify the momentum we’re already seeing – more capital, more talent, more growth to the region."
