Event description

Description

Rescheduled from the icy day in April: Please join us for a Poverty Simulation Training. This simulation is designed to help participants begin to understand what it is like for a typical low-income family trying to survive from week to week. We seek to build empathy and help families remove the barriers and challenges that might get in the way of integrating their child's hearing loss into their lives.

We would especially like to have participants from collaborating organizations join us since we are all working with the same families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. If you are from a collaborating organization/entity, please choose the Morning Only ticket option.

Our board/staff/role models should plan to stay all day and choose the Full Day ticket option.

NEW LOCATION: Southfield Providence Park Hospital Auditorium

  • 9:00 am: Please arrive by 9:00 am so we can start on time. Small snack available.
