Event description

Description

Pouvwa Nwa also known as Black Power is the John Jay College's Haitian American Students Association’s (HASA) annual event pre-celebrating Haitian Independence. Haiti was the first Black nation to win their independence back in January 1, 1804. So we decided to showcase Black power, Black unity, and Black strength, but most importantly Haitian culture. During our event, we will have Haitian performers, food, and music.
