The closest place to park is at the Witch City Mall Parking Garage on 1 New Liberty Street, right across from the Visitor Center. (The Parking Garage cost is $1.50 per hour) http://parkinginsalem.com/ Doors will open 30 minutes prior to event start, but if you arrive late and main doors are locked please head to the rear entrance door at the corner of New Liberty and Brown Streets. Are you Team Beverly or Team Marblehead? Where is the birthplace of the United States Navy? Two local towns that have argued for centuries.

THIS EVENT IS POSTPONED UNTIL May 19th, 2021....Are you Team Beverly or Team Marblehead?  Where is the birthplace of the United States Navy? Two local towns that have argued with each other for years over this question. Help us settle the Great Debate once and for all!

Come out and support your town as historians K. David Goss (Beverly) and Robert Booth (Marblehead) battle it out to decide the TRUE birthplace of the United States Navy.

The debate will be moderated by a neutral panel comprised of Salem News editor, David Olson; historian and history teacher at St. John's Prep, Charlie Newhall; and Essex Heritage CEO, Annie Harris.

Show your town pride--and then decide! Tickets are $18 and will include either a Beverly or Marblehead commemorative pin.
