Postponed! SMCNH presents: The State of NH Social Media
Friday, February 26, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (EST)
This event has been postponed due to power outages and weather-related challenges. Please check back in the coming days or see http://www.socialmediaclubnh.org, @smcnh or our Facebook group for more info. We are leaning towards mid-March at same locale for a rain date.
Social Media Club NH
Innovative ideas are the birthright of New Hampshire communities - from our civic engagement to our business development, we pride ourselves on our unique approaches to meeting the challenges of today and tomorrow. Some may call it yankee ingenuity, others consider it just that way things are done right.
Now is time to take this spirit into the digital age.
Social Media Club NH, representing hundreds of Granite State innovators from Plymouth to Portsmouth to Berlin and Nashua, from healthcare to government, is striving to develop free monthly events to tie our individual communities together, allowing them to collaborate in new ways. Whether you're a programmer, small business owner, government employee, journalist, educator, student, or all around social media enthusiast, SMCNH has been formed to represent you.
This year we will start development of a roadmap to identify obstacles and opportunities in NH social media and technology in our various fields, determine what our next steps should be to move NH forward, and ultimately, how we can work together to make these goals a reality.
To begin this effort, we invite you to join us for a dynamic evening designed to allow participants to learn, network, collaborate, and of course contribute to the greater community.
6 p.m. - Social half hour begins at the Portsmouth Sheraton River Walk Lounge.
6:35 p.m. - A series of 10-minute presentations from leaders (see speakers below.) in NH's Government, Education, Health, Entertainment and Business communities sharing their experiences and where they see NH innovation heading within their fields.
7:35 p.m. - Panel discussion with our presenters.
8 p.m. - Break-out sessions, where you, the participants, determine what challenges you face, where you see opportunities, and how to formulate next steps to make these plans a reality.
8:30 p.m. - Break-out session teams may begin presenting their findings to the group, allowing us to feed them into a Roadmap and make it available to our communities.
9 p.m. - Go home, or join us for our official after-party, the inaugural TechKaraoke NH event.
A cash bar will be available during the event.
