About this event
The American Association of People with Disabilities and REV UP Texas cordially invites you to Elected for Inclusion: A Presidential Forum on Disability Issues. This national nonpartisan event will take place on January 13, 2020 at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center in Austin, Texas.
The Disability Vote is growing all over the country. In 2020, approximately 23% of the American electorate — over 35 million individuals — will be people with disabilities. The number of “disability voters” increases to over 62 million when we consider the ripple effect of the disability vote that connects families, friends, advocates, educators, providers, and others.
Americans with disabilities make remarkable and valuable contributions to our communities. Despite these contributions and despite our numbers, we continue to face discrimination in many arenas including employment, housing, transportation, health care, and education. Elected for Inclusion will provide you with the unparalleled opportunity to hear directly from the presidential candidates on policy positions regarding key issues that impact people with disabilities.
We hope you will join us for Elected for Inclusion. Please confirm attendance through this form by no later than January 6, 2019.
