About this event
Update: We're postponing today's Logic event. Given what's going on around the country right now, we felt like it was the right thing to do. Solidarity with everyone in the streets and, if you're able to do so, please donate to a bail fund. (Here's a good list: https://twitter.com/bailfundnetwork/status/1266408876838014983) We'll be in touch as soon as we've reschedule the event -- probably aiming for 2-3 weeks from now. Until then, be safe.

How is COVID-19 creating new opportunities for corporate and state actors to extend control over our lives using technology? And how can communities can defend themselves?
Please join Logic Magazine for an online panel devoted to exploring these questions—and to celebrate the release of Issue 10: Security. We'll be joined by the following contributors:
Tawana “Honeycomb” Petty is a mother, social justice organizer, youth advocate, poet, and author. She directs the Data Justice program for Detroit Community Technology Project and co-leads the Our Data Bodies project.
Alison Macrina is a librarian, internet activist, and founder and executive director of the Library Freedom Project.
Astra Taylor’s latest book is Democracy May Not Exist, but We’ll Miss It When It’s Gone.
Moderated by Logic editor and co-founder Ben Tarnoff.
