Event description

Description

Cat Head Press is an Indianapolis based not-for-profit community center and fine art printmaking studio. Their primary mission is to enrich and increase the wellbeing of the community through investments in creativity and artistic expression.

Experience the magic of printmaking and create a compelling poster using relief printing techniques. Workshop participants will gain an understanding of relief printing: carving a linoleum block, inking the block and using a printing press to produce a series of prints.

Day 1 will consist of learning the printing process and making some art! Each participant will walk away with multiple prints of their own creation.

Day 2 will be an optional day where everyone attending can participate in a print exchange, making more copies of their work to share and exchange with others.

Artist-led Workshops are made possible by a grant from the Efroymson Family Fund, a fund of the Central Indiana Community Foundation.

Eventbrite charges a fee to book online. For fee-free registration, please contact CAAC at 812-376-2539 or info@artsincolumbus.org.
