This is an opportunity to practice and/or test for the WSTB physical agility test.

1:30-1:45pm - Check in

1:45-2:45pm - Practice

2:45-3:45pm - Test

The West Sacramento Police Department provides entry level physical agility testing to candidates interested in becoming a law enforcement officer. The following Work Sample Test Battery (WSTB) has been developed:

Work Sample Test Battery:

a. 99 yard obstacle course

b. 32 foot body drag (165 lbs.)

c. 6 foot chain link fence climb

d. 6 foot solid wall climb

e. 500 yard sprint

The physical agility test mirrors the WSTB physical agility test standard required for graduation from a California POST accredited peace officer academy.

Test Duration/Specifics

• Plan to arrive on time to check-in.
• End time will depend largely on exam group size; i.e., a larger group will take longer to test; therefore, anticipate an on-site maximum of 2.5 hours.
• You must bring a government-issued photo ID to the exam.

Test Scoring and Results

Most agencies require an entry level qualifying score minimum of 384 for the WSTB, with applicants passing all phases of the exam.

Test results are emailed to you in the form of a secure pdf attachment. Please check your email Spam folder for these documents before calling our office for test scores.

We are also offering a written PELLETB exam. Please register using the separate eventbrite link.
