About this event
Join the World Affairs Council of Miami for a conversation with Consul General Andreas Siegel on German post-election foreign policy, followed by a cocktail reception. The event will take place in person from 6pm-8pm at the Coral Gables Museum, at 285 Aragon Ave.
On September 26, 2021, Germany held federal elections to determine the composition of the Bundestag (lower house of the federal parliament). Incumbent Chancellor Angela Merkel declined to seek a fifth term. Coalition talks have followed to establish the party composition of the next German government—to be led by Chancellor Merkel's successor.
Andreas Siegel, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Miami, will discuss what Berlin's foreign policy could look like in the post-Merkel era.
This program is a partnership between the World Affairs Council of Miami, the Federal Republic of Germany in Miami, the City of Coral Gables, the Coral Gables Museum and the German American Business Chamber in Miami.
Admission is complimentary. Due to limited availability, please RSVP as soon as possible.
